Palace Made For Royalty

WEDNESDAY. Haven't wrote in this in a while. Busy with fraternity work. Yes, fraternity work. I know, I know, I'm on vacation. Still better to get things squared away.

Well on this morning we headed to town. Down town that is. We saw a yellow autobot today on the way to Iolani Palace. Iolani palace is the only palace in the U.S. and it was the last monarch before the U.S. overthrew the Queen of Hawaii.

My cousin in law, a fireman of Hawaii, pulled into the fire department to park his vehicle at their lot. On the way to the palace, we witnessed two cops hand out j-walking tickets. First ticket was to an old ass Asian couple. Dang. Cut them some slack. I felt so bad for them. Second ticket was to a group of white tourists. Haha. Like Diddy says, "take that, take that." I think that was more just.

Back then they would have guards around the palace keeping any unwanted visitors out. Years after the queen was overthrown, stories about ghost roaming the palace and the spirits of the guards still there. There was this one incident where one guy reported they felt a push from behind to realize no one was behind him.

After all the site seeing, we stumbled upon a silver fire hydrant. Said wtf, as I shrugged my shoulders, and proceeded to take a picture of it. We then crossed the street to view the statue of King Kamehameha. He was dressed with a gold cape.

We then saw a sign that said "bad ass coffee". Yeah. You heard me right. "Bad......Ass Coffee". Haha. Who drinks ass coffee? But anyways, for lunch we had mexican food. Its still not comparable to the mexican food back at home. We all sat down at the tables clearly marked for another shop. Dude was a middle eastern douche, told us next time we aren't suppose to sit there. I went into his shop, to buy a drink, and found out he sold Caprisun drinks for two dollars each. Hella rip off.
